Will Phix Health be my primary care provider?

Yes, our Doctors, Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants will serve as your primary care providers.

Will Phix Health see me in an assisted living home or skilled nursing facility?

Yes! We specialize in seeing patients in Independent, Assisted Living, Memory Care and Skilled Nursing facilities.

Will my provider come to my apartment?

Yes! Some facilities have dedicated exam rooms but in all cases it’s up to you – if you prefer that we visit you at home we are happy to do so.  

What does it cost?

Most of your visits will be covered by your existing insurance. However, co-pays still apply.

Do I need a referral? 

No, in most cases we can start seeing you right away. If your insurance is an HMO you just need to inform your insurance provider that you are choosing us as your primary care provider – then call us at (215) 650-6664 to make an appointment.  

What medical insurance do we accept?

We accept Medicare, Medicare Advantage Plans (such as BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, United Health, as well as many others) and Private Pay. For all others, please check with your insurance company for coverage.

What should I do if I need emergency medical care?

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, we encourage you, or someone on your behalf, to dial 911 right away.

How often will I see my provider?

Your provider will coordinate with you to schedule regular visits to address ongoing needs and preventative services, as well as visits for acute changes or illnesses.
